Me in 2010 - Go to work, get stressed out, drink with co-workers , complain about work, count down the days to the weekend and then do it all over again. This was my normal. I had an awesome job at a prestigious marketing firm but despite the cool job title, I hated it. I worked tons of over-time without extra pay, hated that I didn't get credit for any of my ideas, felt guilty taking time off, and was usually stressed out.
And then the worst thing (but best thing ever) happened - I lost my job. Though initially devastated, it was the push I needed to start my own business. I had no idea what I was doing but I knew I would figure it out. And I did.
Since losing my job in 2010, I have built not just one but two successful six figure businesses. I got married, and discovered my love for weddings and now design luxury (many with budgets of $100k+) for football stars and amazing couples from all over the world. I take vacations when I want and take all holidays and birthdays off. I no longer feel stressed-out and over-worked. Instead I feel motivated, fulfilled and excited by my work. I have set up and scaled my businesses to run without me so that I on most days I only work 2-3 hours a day. And, I have done all of this while having three babies.
